To ensure clarity and mutual respect, we have established the following Professionalism and Ethics Policy. By booking an appointment with us, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to these standards.
1. Strictly Therapeutic Scope of Practice
All services provided by Health Care Balance are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. Our goal is to promote relaxation, stress relief, pain management, and overall physical wellness.
- No Sexual Services: We do not offer, imply, or tolerate any form of sexual service, “erotic massage,” or “happy endings.”
- Professional Boundaries: Our therapists are licensed and certified professionals trained in anatomy, physiology, and massage modalities. Any request for services outside of this professional scope will be denied.
2. Zero Tolerance Policy Regarding Sexual Misconduct
We maintain a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Any sexual advances, suggestive comments, or sexual innuendo directed toward the therapist.
- Requests for sexual acts or services not listed on our treatment menu.
- Inappropriate touching of the therapist.
- Exposure of genitalia or refusal to adhere to draping protocols.
Consequences of Violation:
If a client engages in any of the behaviors listed above, the session will be terminated immediately. The client will be required to pay the full price of the scheduled service, and they will be permanently banned from our facility. If necessary, local law enforcement will be notified.
3. Draping and Modesty Protocols
To ensure the comfort and privacy of both the client and the therapist, we adhere to strict professional draping standards:
- Full Draping: Clients are properly draped with a sheet or towel at all times during the session. Only the specific area of the body being worked on will be exposed.
- Genital Area: The genital area will never be exposed or massaged under any circumstances.
- Attire: Clients are required to wear appropriate undergarments or the disposable wear provided by the spa.
4. Therapist Professionalism
Just as we expect respect from our clients, our clients can expect the highest level of professionalism from our team. Our therapists commit to:
- Treating all clients with dignity and respect.
- maintaining client confidentiality and privacy.
- Adhering to the code of ethics set forth by their licensing board.
- Providing a safe, clean, and hygienic environment.
5. Right to Refuse Service
Health Care Balance reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who:
- Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Behaves in a threatening, abusive, or disrespectful manner.
- Has a medical condition that may be contraindicated for massage (unless cleared by a physician).
- Violates our Zero Tolerance Policy regarding sexual misconduct.
